The evening ended with a fireworks show courtesy of Tori. Ooh - Ahh!

Aids, show us that monster waleye!

It isn't vacation if your not finshin'! Jessi caught one, Grandpa two, and Aids one. The kids had a chance to get in the water while Aids, my dad and I went out int he boat for a bit of off-shore fishing.

Grandpa, set the pool up please so we can go swimming! The pool was a hit as the girls spent a lot of time in it.

That first step out onto the farm is the best! It is like getting home after a long time away.

Minor catastrophy on the road as the transmission causes trouble and a halt to travel. "Load the things into the truck and we'll come back for the motorhome later!" 'Sounds like a plan so... on to the farm!

Tori's view on the road to the farm in the motorhome. Grandma holds on to Skippy so she doesn't get scared while Jessi deals the cards.

Finally! We are at grandma and grandpa's house. What do you want to do now? "Play 10,000!"

Here we are, the whole crew! All eight of us!

Mt. Rushmore.

Wow, look at the gleam off of those heads!
Posted by Picasa

Always the intelligent one, Tori learns about the making of Mt. Rushmore.
Posted by Picasa

Now that's keeping an eye on Jessi!
Posted by Picasa

Mt. Rushmore may be cool but the drive to get there from Casper is long. That's OK, Tori, make like a cowboy and catch some shut-eye!

Casper

Here we are at Casper Wy. It is early as we are ready to hit the road. Yesterday saw many miles behind us as we awoke to see the Arches in Utah, drove through the mountains in Colorado and ended on the plains in Wyoming! Many pictures will be posted soon but as we arrived late last night, the cameras stayed in the car.

The hotel is very nice and the rooms are great! The drive yesterday was so long and it seem like we drove for two days . I slept so long in the car probably 4 hours total!

Yesterday's drive took FOREVER!!!! At least 10 hours of driving, i just cant wait to get to the farm tomorrow and to north dakota tonight!

What's the matter Tori? Are you jelous? If Aids' head turns that red with Jessi on his back imagine what color it would be with you!

Central City Colorado, the best little gambling town in the state! Well, OK, so maybe this picture is taken in Black Hawk, but it is close enough to count. Those of us used to Vegas found it a bit surprising that we weren't allowed into Starbucks in a casino with kids.

The Delicate Arch. We decided to just hike to a viewpoint rather than the distance out to it but you can just see a small group on the ridge to the left of the arch.
Posted by Picasa

Ok, let's hike back and find that delicate arch.

The Tapestry arch; just a short hike from the campground.

So, Jessi, have you ever seen a sunrise like this before?
Posted by Picasa

Sunrise at The Arches National Park; just beautiful!

Ah, camping! It was so fun to get here and explore the area around our campsite at The Arches National Park. Sleeping that night, however, proved to be less than sound for everyone. If you camp here, get a site early so you have a better one than the one we did.

Now this is something to take a picture of! We are at a rest stop in the desert of Utah. Careful Jessi, don't step backward!

Are we smaller or is that chair just a bit big? OK, so there isn't much to take a picture of after the canyon to St. George. There is ice cream to eat though!
Posted by Picasa

Nicole's view of our trip up from the desert floor to St. George. Oooh, look at that! Cool!
Posted by Picasa

On the desert floor while on our way out of Las Vegas. So... caravan or race?
